Hi! Thanks for stopping by! I’m Elizabeth! I am a first-time blogger, first- time mom and lover of recipes. I love hunting for recipes, collecting recipes and cooking new and old recipes for my family and friends. I got my love of cooking from both of my grandmothers. My grandmother Jean always cooked family friendly recipes that were simple and easy, but delicious. When she passed away in 2009, it was heartbreaking, but thankfully she left me with lots of her great recipes that I cannot wait to share with all of you! My grandmother Alexa always cooks the more fancy, lots-of-ingredients types of recipes, but they, too, are delicious and definitely blog worthy!
I spent the early part of my childhood growing up in Washington State. When I was 13 and my parents got divorced, my mom, brother and I moved to Wisconsin. From there, I graduated high school, graduated college and met the love of my life Josh. We have been together since 2010 and I cannot imagine my life without him. In 2013 we got married and in 2015 we moved to Minnesota because Josh had a job opportunity here that he couldn’t pass up.
The most important life event that has happened to us was the birth of our first child in December of 2016. Our daughter Braelynn is the cutest, most stubborn baby I have ever met, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! Josh and I also have 3 fur children. Our dog Roscoe has been with us since the beginning! He is a Beagle/Bassett hound mix and the most loveable dog there is. Our 2 cats are quite the pair. Jasper and Maverick are quite a hoot. One minute they are sleeping, and the next they are galloping down the hall sounding like a herd of elephants. There is never a dull moment in our house!
Since Braelynn was born, we decided that I was going to be a stay at home mom. I am excited that I get to stay home and share my love of recipes and cooking with her (when she’s old enough, of course, and has teeth to enjoy the food ?)
While this blog may not always be prefect, you can bet that the recipes will be delicious and from the heart! It was nice to meet you and thanks again for stopping by!
