Hey everyone! How is your summer going? Are you staying cool? It’s been pretty nice here in Minnesota the last few days, which is a nice change from the unbearable heat and humidity. It has been nice to finally open the windows and get some fresh air in the house!
When its too hot to do anything and all I need is a refreshing drink to stay cool, I turn to this peach mango tea lemonade. I am in love with Lipton’s peach mango tea and I always make it iced. I thought it would be an awesome idea to add lemonade to it one day and voila, our new favorite drink was formed.
Peach mango tea lemonade combines two of our favorite summer drinks: tea and lemonade! My hubby loves Arnold Palmers, and that is usually the drink of choice when we go out for dinner in the summertime. There is just something so delicious about the bold flavor of tea mixed with the tartness of lemonade, and let’s be honest, I always sneak a few drinks of his Arnold Palmer at the restaurant.
This peach mango tea is simple to make and can be made for a crowd! It is great for parties, girls night or a relaxing family dinner. I bet that this drink will become a family favorite at your house too!
How to make this iced tea
Tea bags: I always use Lipton Peach Mago Herbal Tea. You can really use any kind of tea you’d like. If you can’t find the peach mango favor, Lipton has other amazing fruit flavored teas that would taste great.
Lemonade: I use Simply Lemonade because I think it has the right amount of tartness and sweetness. You can use the frozen lemonade you add water too, or even the crystal lite packets you add water to.
Sweetness: We like our tea on the sweeter side, so I had a few tablespoons of sugar to the tea after its brewed. If you don’t like it as sweet, then you can skip that step. Or if you like it sweeter, add a little more sugar. It’s all about preference.
Frozen Fruit: There are no measurements for the frozen fruit in this recipe. I usually add a couple of handfuls to the pitcher of tea and then I add a few more pieces to each glass when the tea is poured. It’s all about how much fruit you like.
- 6 cups hot water
- 8 peach mango herbal tea bags,, I use Lipton brand
- 2 tablespoons sugar,, optional
- 2 ½ cups lemonade,, I use Simply Lemonade
- Frozen peaches
- Frozen mangoes
- Lemons for garnish
- Steep the tea bags in the hot water for 15 minutes. Add the sugar, if you prefer, stir, and transfer to a pitcher and let it cool slightly.
- To the pitcher, add the lemonade and stir. If you are going to enjoy right away, add some ice and the frozen fruit. If you are waiting until later, place the pitcher in the refrigerator and when you are ready to serve, add the frozen fruit to act like ice cubes!
- Garnish with lemon.
