This vegetable dip is the perfect compliment to all types of veggies! It is creamy, easy to make and perfect for cookouts and parties!
Can you believe that this weekend is Memorial Day weekend already? It seems like we went from cold and snowy to hot in the blink of an eye. I’m not complaining my any means, but I feel like I missed a whole season. Memorial Day weekend is one of my favorite holiday weekends. It’s the beginning of a long summer of cookouts and get-togethers and Memorial Day weekend is always spent with family and friends and that is always an amazing time.
You know what else is amazing? This vegetable dip. I always love bringing veggies and dip to cookouts for lots of reasons. I always feel like I’m *kind of* eating healthy when I bring veggies and dip to parties and it seems like they are always the first to go. They are one of those things you just stand around eating. This dip is particularly great to pair with tons of fresh veggies. It is ultra-creamy because it has luscious sour cream and mayo in it. Plus, when it gets blended with the cottage cheese and ranch, it creates the best dip! The best part? It takes less than FIVE minutes to make. That is a winner in my book!
How to make Vegetable Dip
The sour cream: I always use full fat sour cream for the best consistency, but lite sour cream would work too!
The mayo: The same goes for the mayo: I always use Hellmann’s Mayo, but you can also use lite mayo or miracle whip. The miracle whip will give it a slightly different flavor, but I’ve tried it with both and the dip still tastes great!
Cottage cheese: I always use small curd cottage cheese, but any type will do!
Ranch packet: One full ranch packet is perfect for this dip. If you have a homemade mix, 2 tablespoons will be great. You can always taste test and adjust the ranch flavor to your preference.
Other uses for this dip: Vegetables are the number one thing I use this dip for, but you can also dip chips in it or use it as the base of a pasta salad recipe (just a few spoonful’s).
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 (1 ounce) packet of dry ranch mix
- In a food processer or blender, mix all the ingredients until smooth. If it’s too thick for your liking, you can add a few tablespoons of milk until it’s the consistency you want.
- Serve with lots of fresh veggies!
